Maybe reshoot with lighting and shots that don't cut off the image. I couldn't see what you were doing and your explanations are vague. But thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
Sorry kids are older and I don’t have the car seat anymore. The video is 7 years old now. Lighting was tough with the tint in the car and I used a gorpro head mount to shoot the video so my hands were free. Happy it pointed you in the right direction.
What kinda of bulbs does the ambient lighting use
I’m not too sure, the owners manual should have the part number.
Ive got the 12 sel 3.0. Awesome car. Has been very reliable. I drive 80 miles a day and on average as long as im easy on my speed i get 30mpg at 70. Next is struts, shocks, and sway bar links. Sitting at 117k
That’s awesome, the 3L is a solid engine.
Will the sport intake fit and work on an SEL?
It won’t work, the Sport had the 3.5L V6 and the SEL had either the 3.0L or 2.5L.
Man i love my 2010 sport! Mine is a cherry red colour tho but man it rips and sounds SO good its pretty much straight piped i just have a resonator
Awesome! They sure sound good with some exhaust work!
I have the 2010 sport and i love it but minw doesnt have thw big touch screen nav ifs just a normal radio but i do have the sony aound system
Awesome! They’re great cars!
How would this car delete sound on the 2.5 engine? Because my current setup right now, is a muffler and resonator delete. I have the 2.5 engine and the muffler and resonator delete isn’t too obnoxious, but it sound awesome.
Taking the cats out would likely increase volume and possibly make it more raspy too. If it’s already too obnoxious it would only make things worse.
@@99MCougar if I get a cat delete, I’m thinking of throwing a evil energy muffler on too tone it down if it’s too loud without the cat. Resonator and cat delete with the evil energy muffler I just hope it’s still loud a little bit but toned down
The muffler should help tone things down. You could always try the muffler first and if it sounds good but a little on the quiet side then go ahead and cut out the cats. It will turn up the volume a bit. Keep in mind if you have any emissions testing you won’t pass.
@@99MCougar I might just get a high flow cat honestly
Which k&n fits a 2019 f150 with a coyote engine
I’m not too sure to be honest. I’m sure there is info up on the K&N website
This is one of those cars where you can just have fun for hours and not have to worry about your wallet
Couldn’t agree more!
do you still have possession of this car? Just wondering lol. I have a 2010 sport
Hey there, yup I still have it! It’s a great car.
How many miles im worried about my water pump@@99MCougar
Any issues with cel after gutting cats? Did the tune cover the change in flow or was the original tune that you did just cover it? Some say you you do but maybe they dont assume that you already do? I have a 2010 Sport...
Hey there, the tune I have disabled the downstream O2 sensors. I had the tune done before they came down on the tuners for turning them off. I think tuners now have to leave them on. I have heard that the O2 foolers work well though.
Which idiot is recording this. ??? It's a pain to watch. Such a crappy video. Get off youtube
Para una ford f150 1993 V8 5.0?
Sorry, late reply but this won’t work with an old 5.0L. I’m sure K&N makes a lot for the 90’s 5.0L V8’s
Fits perfectly rear-facing in our truck, which has a slightly smaller back seats. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx6_FKRYB2ClSPRyjcd8HptiCS3EiQoNX4 Feels as comfy and plush as our Graco Contender carseat.
What turned me away from this car was the water pump being internal, running off the timing chain. In the 3.0 they ran an external pulley off one of the camshafts. I dunno why car companies make those big pain design choices.
Totally agree. It’s a weird design and I actually found out about it after I got the car (new back in 2011). That being said Ford makes a ton of these motors and mine has been rock solid since new. I had the 3L duratec swapped into my old 1999 Cougar. That was a fun car as well.
@@99MCougar thats good to hear. I dont know anyone with a fusion sport and i wondered how they were holding up.
@@shadowbanned3716 they’re pretty solid cars, they also have the Asin transmission which is solid.
Same fusion except mine is 2.4 engine. The 4 cylinder’s are fun too, but I’m definitely gonna install a cold air intake in mine and definitely wanna look forward to getting the V6 soon!!!!
Awesome! They’re great cars. You’ll love a V6! Especially if it’s a Sport
What’s the difference with sleeve or no sleeve
The sleeve gives you the factory MAF diameter. The sleeve will give you a bigger MAF and require a tune
@@99MCougar thank you
That a nasty difference!!! Thanks bro bout to upgrade 👍🏻
How well did this fusion sport hold up? I am thinking about looking for one now to use as a daily driver and keep the miles down on my big SUV. Thanks.
The Fusion has been awesome. I have had it since new in 2011 and I have no complaints. It’s pretty low mileage (120,000km/75,000miles) but it has been rock solid reliable over the years.
@@99MCougar thats great! I am especially happy to see that you still own it. Very good.
@@99MCougar You still own yours I'm guessing? I'm thinking about buying my dad's 2012 sport and building it I like the potential it has
@@poopyfarthead6871 yes I still have mine! They’re great cars, really underrated and fly under the radar as an enthusiast car. Absolutely love mine. What are your plans with the build?
too bad they're just so rare
Yeah it’s a shame they didn’t gain popularity. Awesome cars with decent power and handling.
This thing is super nicely optioned, my 2012 sport was a base apparently
Thanks! I think the only option I’m missing is remote start!
That lil red car ruined your video at the beginning 😂
Hahaha pretty late stop! I thought he was going to make the video even more interesting for a second.. I was covering the brake anticipating the roll 😂
what are those rims?
They are the factory wheels with the XTR package. I didn’t mind them but they were a chrome clad so they weren’t too durable
I put the cold air intake and motorcraft oil separator on a 2014 f150 5.0 4x4 and went from average 15 mpg at 75 mph to 18 to 20 mpg. The best 400 bucks you can spend on performance and the oil separator really does keep crankcase oil from returning in the intake. Worth every penny
That’s awesome! Pretty big improvement!
Have a 2010 Ford Fusion sport. Have had every problem in the book. U name it, oil and tranny fluid leaks. Break calibers and thermostat and coolant issues. Love the car but just can’t deal with all the problems have dumped too much money into it
That’s too bad to hear. I think it’s one of the more reliable drivetrains in the 2010-2012 Fusion. I have been fairly lucky and all the car needed was wear and tear parts over the 11 years of ownership.
I have a 2011 Ford fusion SE with the 2.5L 6 speed manual transmission that I plan on auto -x.
I hope that passenger is a buddy you asked for help cause I would have kicked him to the curb after 10 seconds of that lolol
where can i get it i can't find the high flow filter for my fusion sport 2011
Cd3performance sells the Steeda intake as well as a bunch of other performance parts.
I bought a 2010 Ford Fusion SE with the 2.5L and 6 Speed manual transmission. It is fairly quick and gets 33mpg, great car.
That’s a rare car! Not too many 4cyl manuals around. That’s 2.5L is solid as well. Have fun with it!
Im going to have a lot of fun with it. It even has all the options that you could get with the SE package. Got it with only 68k original miles back in 2019, I have 102k at the moment. So far I've lowered with Godspeed Coilovers, bumper cold air intake, slotted rotors, and minor stuff to it. You can find a 0-60 video on my channel, though the clutch is getting old and starting to slip. I plan on upgrading to stage one clutch and boosting it with CorkSport Mazdaspeed 6 parts (practically the same car/engine)
I own a brilliant silver metallic 2010 first year gen 1 Ford Fusion Sport. Mine looks identical to yours but mine has the older dash setup with info center on dash instead of steering wheel and mine has the thicker bolstered shiny leather seats with the racing blue perforated inserts with matching dash trim. The engine is actually a 3.5 DOHC Cyclone H.O. 24V big V6 and it was also used as a variant in the Mustangs of same era as my uncle has a 2014 Mustang with it and it is very powerful and fast for a V6. More like a V8 honestly! My car was bought brand new off the showroom floor by my Dad originally and has an early build date of 6/09 stamped in the door. Another odd feature mine has is the chrome accents are not smoked and the front passenger seat folds forwards flat like the 2008-09s had as an option. ( havent seen any 2010 and newer do this or even advertise this feature in the brochures). I absolutely love my car and it is in excellent condition as its been stored winters since new. My Dad has owned Tauruses before and an Sable all were silver and decked out models comparable to this car. We also owned Rangers too as I'm also a huge fan of! I consider this a "SHO JR." And a rare breed collectible for sure as Ford didn't make many of these and you hardly see any now! My advice keep it and keep yours nice because these were great cars that most people didn't know even existed! True sleepers 👍💓😎
Right on! Glad you enjoy the car. For whatever reason Ford still calls it a Duratec but it is in the Cyclone engine family. The Mustang had the 3.7L Cyclone which is basically just a bigger version of our engine with 305hp. As far as the chrome goes the 2010’s had the regular chrome, 2011’s were slightly darker and 2012’s were even darker then the 2011’s. The amount of bolstering was the same throughout all model years, they just had the option of red or blue inserts. That’s great to hear yours stayed in the family! They really are like a baby SHO haha.
@@99MCougar yeah it's a great car hard to believe it's considered an old one already! Shame Ford doesn't make the Fusions anymore.
@@mattmaverick703 I know what you mean! It sure aged well over the last 10 years. Hopefully thing change and they bring the Fusion back to North America.
do only 2012 come with the inside screen?
Nope that was the navigation package that came on all 2010-2012 models Edit: I should say that was available to all models.
I know I’m late but did gutting the pre cats add any hp?
And are the pre cats inside of the exhaust manifold “headers” ?
Not late at all, never hurts to ask! I never had the car on the dyno but it did feel like it had a bit more power. As far as location yes they’re in the manifolds/headers. If you drop the Y-pipe and look up you will see them. They are 2 stage cats so there is a cat after the O2 sensor and one before in each manifold. I took out the O2 sensors to be sure I didn’t damage them and re-installed. Keep in mind if you have emissions testing the car will fail without cats and you will have a check engine light unless you get the O2 foulers or a tune to turn off downstream O2 sensors.
@@99MCougar im in a MKZ same drivetrain as you already tuned by "tuning by james" tunes will work catless but will still have the check engine light i plan on getting inspected soon and then removing the Pre cats in the headers. Hoping to pick up a little bit of power not much aftermarket support for us besides, intakes and tunes. Do you know if anyone just makes long tube headers or just better headers in general?
@@aidanstitzer7316 the MKZ is a great car too, a Fusion in a tuxedo lol. They just came down on tubing companies recently who were turning off the O2 sensors (so you don’t get an engine light) for guys running no cats. I don’t think there is many that are ok with it these days. No long tube headers for sure, I’m not even sure there would be enough room. No aftermarket headers but there was a guy that made 3.5L Altima headers work with modification on his FWD Sport. As far as other aftermarket you can port the intake manifolds and get a bigger throttle body from Max bore. That really helps the engine breathe. You can also port the heads. Plus you could do a 3.7L swap. Supersix motor sports has some other things available like cams too.
@@99MCougar I would 100% get cams. Supersix makes cams for this motor or is it for a different motor but fits to ours ?
How much hp does this make?
Steeda advertises it as 12hp without the tune and 25hp with their 91 Oct tune. I had their tune before and it is only slightly better then stock. I would recommend an Unleashed tune instead. Power aside I think it makes a better overall driving experience. You get the induction noise and it makes the car feel a bit more sporty.
Besides the cool air intake with steeda what mods have u done?
I think in this video I had the intake, tune, exhaust work, lowered, upgraded pads and fluid. Now I have ported intake manifolds and a bigger throttle body from max bore. Fun car!
Is it necessary to do a tuning after installing the cold air intake ?
No tuning necessary. I had the factory tube but to get the most out of the intake and truck a tune is probably the best bang for your buck mod.
Thank you 😊 for posting 😇
No problem! Happy it helped!
I have a 2010 SEL with all the options and I love it. I absolutely would love to upgrade to a sport awd in the future Forsure
Sorry for the late reply, they’re great cars and handle really well for their size. I’ve driven the 2.5L, 3L and of course my Sport. I’m a sucker for more power but they are all great cars.

I see Ford's windshield easily cracked on you too lol
Lol to be honest that was partly my fault. There was a chip right on the edge and I didn’t see it until it cracked. Couldn’t see the chip from the inside. I know what you mean though!!
That was intense but it looked like so much fun haha
Haha thank you!! I highly recommend autocross! It’s the most fun you can have in a car with your cloths on!

I have a straight pipe one
On a Sport? How do you like it? I’ve done a fair bit to mine since this video
3:26 i see hoe Ford got it right with the manual shifting mode. Other car makers put the + on top and the - on the bottom, but thats not how a sequential system works. But here they actualy put the shift up to pull down and shift down to push up just like a real sequential system
For sure! I like how they thought of the little things like this. Much more natural feeling pulling towards you for up shifts.
Does this work for the 2012 2.5l engine?
Yes and no. You can get a Steeda, K&N or Injen intake for your 2.5L but they are specific to your engine. So yes and intake will work for your 2.5L but the 3.5L one I installed wouldn’t work for you. The install process is relatively similar though.
@@99MCougar Thanks. If it bumps me up at least 7-8hp id do it just to be able to pass people on a highway lol.
@@thunderthumbz3293 I’m not too sure how much more power it will give you, a tune would be a great addition and help more then an intake. It will be more fun to drive with the intake though, makes your car sound a little more sporty
I have a 2010 Ford Fusion Sport and I have that side piece missing did you call that the side skirt? I need to find that piece to replace on mine.
Yes, the side skirt or it might be called a rocker panel. Your best bet is to search on car-part.com for a used one or you could go to the dealer but they are super expensive new and come unpainted so there is extra cost there too

I have a 2010 Lincoln MKZ almost same car, this is gonna be my first winter with awd I’m coming from a stick shift focus fwd with studded snows. I would just pull the hand brake and slide around every turn. Do you use the hand brake at all to make her slide? Or u just tcs off power slide? I believe the awd on these is 60 front 40 rear so I’m not sure if she would fishtail or under steer when power sliding through a turn. Lastly I’m debating if I wanna get studded snows again for her even though she’s awd I liked the unlimited traction in the snow wanna know your opinion. Thank you 😂 I know that’s a lot. I’m a Ford tech that loves cars and I love my MKZ so I like this page a lot nice to see her working hard.
Just turn off the TCS and you can kick out the rear with the throttle. If you go too sideways the stability will kick in and set you straight. I found that if you initially kick out the car and as long as your steering angle isn’t huge the stability is less invasive. As far as studded vs non-studded I found that the regular non studded have been great. It depends on your climate though. We get a lot of melt/freeze cycles so there can be ice but lots of time the roads are just dry but cold. I would talk to your local tire shop and see what they advise.
@@99MCougar thank you I’ll probably get the studded it’s good when it’s icy I’m in nh so we get ice under all our snow it helped with deep snow. Thank you for that though gonna have to try this winter. U have a snap you post your stuff on? I’d like to add you and follow the build/ show u when I get the MKZ set up. I’m gonna eventually do the steeda cai and exhaust also just not sure of muffler I want yet and if I want a res delete with it.
@@russellkane5181 I have some exhaust videos up as well, muffler delete as well as vibrant resonators in place of the mufflers. I’m not on Snapchat but I’m on Instagram @fusephotography. @@99MCougar I followed, not to much else to do to the sports 😂 I gotta get my stuff done eventually. The new fusion sports are crazy though if u have seen them. They’re like 16K used but they haul
@@russellkane5181 the aftermarket is pretty limited on the Sports. Porting the intake manifolds and getting a bigger throttle body helps a ton. I haven’t got into porting the heads or anything but you never know lol maybe one day. The new ones are a rocket in a straight line but I think our gen has better suspension/chassis to be honest. I would love to drive my Sport around a track and a new one with the same tires. I haven’t had a chance to race one but I’m curious how it would do
Cars been great, is their any difference between the 2011-12
Nothing significant. I think the 12’s have a slightly darker smoked grille and maaaybe wheels. There is rumours that it has better/upgrades impellers in the water pump too.
